'Teddy Bear' (A Poem by an EPS Foster Carer)

Teddy Bear

What then brings this child to my door
What twist of faith left his feet on the floor
No kind hand was he ever shown
And now… as dark steals light, with his eyes full of fright. His tiny hands trembling
Clutching his Teddy Bear…

New Beginnings Training for Children Who Foster

Five Rivers Fostering recently held a very productive new beginnings training in our Kilkenny office. We had 16 young people attend a very enjoyable training event that helps children who foster prepare for the exciting world of fostering. There were a range of age groups present on the date and all the young people were involved in a host of different activities that increases their awareness and understanding in relation to fostering. We think you will see from the photos that there was a great day had by all.

Five Rivers Coffee Morning (17th February)

There was a great turn out for Five Rivers Fostering's Limerick coffee morning, which was hosted at Miss Marples Tearooms. Foster carers come together on these coffee mornings for discussion and to build links with fellow foster families.

Five Rivers would like to thank Miss Marples Tearooms for hosting, and for all the foster carers who attended.
